LawVu Launches AI Contract Drafting Tool Inside Microsoft Word

LawVu launched LawVu Draft, an AI contract drafting tool embedded in Microsoft Word.

LawVu introduced LawVu Draft in June 2026, an AI-powered contract drafting and review solution embedded directly inside Microsoft Word. This integration helps legal professionals avoid switching between platforms, increasing workflow efficiency and tool adoption.

The tool lets users draft and refine contracts by leveraging their own clauses, precedents, and playbooks, all accessible in Word. Features include automatic redlining, generation of tailored drafts, simplification of complex legal language, enforcement of playbook standards, risk and inconsistency detection, error catching, readability improvements, document comparison, and response generation.

Originally developed by ClauseBase, a legal tech startup founded in 2019 and acquired by LawVu in 2025, LawVu Draft offers AI capabilities blended with Microsoft Word’s familiar interface.
